Server Regulations

Commonwealth Legacy RP is a serious roleplay environment. We hold our players to high standards of character immersion, fair play, and maturity. Review our regulations before applying.

1.1 Serious Roleplay Expectation

All players must maintain character immersion at all times. Out-of-character (OOC) chat, voice, or behavior in-game is strictly prohibited. If an issue arises, play out the scenario and submit a staff ticket afterwards.

VALUABLE NOTE: Always prioritize the story over winning a scenario.

2.1 Metagaming (Meta) Definition

Metagaming is the act of using out-of-character information (obtained via Twitch streams, Discord, forums, or third-party sheets) within the in-game environment. Your character only knows what they have personally experienced, heard, or read inside the server grids.

2.2 Powergaming (Power) Definition

Powergaming is acting out scenarios that are physically impossible or giving yourself an unfair mechanical advantage that cannot be countered. Examples include: forcing actions on other players via /me commands without giving them a chance to react, spawning cars during active pursuits, or ignoring serious injuries.

1.2 Fear Roleplay (FearRP)

Your character's life is their most valuable asset. You must exhibit authentic fear when your life is under immediate threat (e.g., when a firearm is drawn and pointed at you at close range). Reaching for a weapon when already held at gunpoint is a violation of FearRP.

3.1 Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) & Random Deathmatch (RDM)

VDM: Utilizing a vehicle as a physical weapon to ram, run over, or kill other players without substantial, pre-established roleplay reasons.

RDM: Attacking or killing other players without a solid, verbal roleplay conflict leading up to the combat. Random violence is strictly bannable.

3.2 Cop Baiting Regulations

Purposely engaging in provocative behavior in front of law enforcement (e.g., drifting in front of state police stations, speeding back and forth, or honking continuously to force a vehicle pursuit) is prohibited. Pursuits must arise naturally from valid criminal storylines.
